Day 100

Gripping the belly and jaw, back again. Let go.
Head buzzing with thoughts of this 100 day journey.

Letting the thoughts go and dropping into sensation. Catching the dull pleasure pain of sitting too long on my feet, the lightness of my pelvis, the big, nourishing breaths that my body knows instinctively when I move and my mind is thankful for.

Up standing, feet solid and fixed to the ground, more space in the middle body, arms soft and loose, unnecessary effort dropped.

Rest is sweet but I’m keen to write. Those triple-in-one breaths. Recalibrating.

I’ve learnt that non-linear really is non-linear… in the free flow of how we move but also in that there’s no progress, no mastering or getting it ‘right’, no end goal.

Every practice is day 1 again, back to ground zero, moving with whatever’s present that day/night/month/year. Moving with WHAT IS and tending to that. How tough that can be for the mind. But the body loves it.

And, perhaps, paradoxically, a skin has been shed, something old is being replaced with something newer, realer.

More to integrate and reflect on. I’m pleased not to document going forward and just letting myself go in the practice. It’s been an edge to share publicly but so good in keeping me on track, even if I missed days here and there (and 100 days ended up being a bit longer than that!)

Thank you for following along, thank you for your messages, likes and comments, for sharing something that resonated with you, or your inspiration to move, to use some of the tracks and have your own practice along with me, and, to your own beat, and to those of you who have silently followed along just with curiosity, support or wondering what the f I’m doing as I spam your feed with pictures! Even in my resistance to be public I appreciate the support and the follow along. It’s been a cool, uncomfortable, fascinating, boring, nourishing, insightful experiment!

Love.
